Something i learned recently was Clinton laid off 20% of the federal workforce. However it was done in a way to ensure all the agencies continued to function and meet their legal mandate - without consolidating all executive power to one person.

All to say there is a sane way to do this that doesn’t violate political norms.

    If only an earlier administration had done this.

    Somebody had to act, now at least something is being done.

    I hope next Democrats will have the courage to say they’re going to raise taxes, then do it.
