I recently realized that destroying the USA as we know it is part of accelerationist philosophy, as outlined in things like the "Techno-Optimist Manifesto."

Is that a silly thought on my part? Or, is that what we are actually witnessing?

Accelerationism dovetails with the fascist agenda but is not the cause of it.

Perception and interpretation of something is not the same from everyone's view point. A change can always be interpreted as bad by the people who don't like the unfamiliarity of the change. Wait for a few years before jumping to judgements. I think the foreign policies could be meant to win over the friends of China without a fight, which might actually work better, to save money. Bidenomics were much worse, just burning money in wars without much strategy. The situation with China is much better in favor of USA.

The media is just a echo chamber, amplifying and sensationalizing the irrational fears, just for the puny gains of their viewrship.

Every person appointed by trump is completely unqualified to do their jobs and most of them are objectively and openly racist, sexist, authoritarian, vindictive, corrupt, and completely unconcerned with any law or decency.

> Musk has, in the short term, set us up for a shock to the economy from both unemployment and frozen government grants.

Two more economic things to worry about:

1. Trade: Republicans are starting a 4-front trade-war against the US' biggest trading partners. In other words, they'll be creating taxes (both directly and indirectly) on over half of all US international trade volume.

2. Inflation: Republicans are supporting Trump's threat to make the Fed lower interest-rates, and shielding his illegal attacks on agencies similar to the Fed which the law says the President cannot micromanage. If they succeed, it'll make some stats look better in the short-term (e.g. for the math of passing huge tax cuts) but it's ultimately throwing gasoline onto the inflation fire.
