I have another question, somewhat related: we they keep changing the look and feel, and how to use the products, while not adding any functionality. For older people is a terrible problem!

I think they're not smart about it. Numerous times they released products without doing due diligence about trademarks and then had to rename things, particularly with products they see as strategic such as SkyDrive that they needed to rename to OneDrive because some Germany company already made SkyDrive.

Corporations that are good at business do trademark searches to avoid that but they either don't do that or they'd rather pay lawyers $100M to fight a lawsuit instead of paying them $10k to do a trademark search.

Look also at the naming of their game consoles. Sony has the "Playstation", "Playstation 2" and so forth. Your mom can tell if a PS4 is better than a PS3.

It is "Xbox", "Xbox 360", "Xbox One", "Xbox One S", "Xbox One X", "Xbox Series S", and "Xbox Series X". I made it easy for you by putting them in order but can you expect a Nintendo enthusiast, never mind your Mom, to put them in order? (Nintendo's names are opaque two but they don't have the deliberately confusing elements such as calling the third device "one")

You'd think if they had a lottery and picked a rando, paid them $100M and treated their advice about naming like the words of a god they'd do better than they do.

I'm annoyed at hell that they're going to rename the mobile Remote Desktop app for Mobile the "Windows" App. It's a great app, my cheap android tablet used as a terminal makes macbooks and gaming laptops look clunky, but I don't need them moving my cheese just because they want to move my cheese.
